Cookies

Social media plugins with Shariff
Plugins from social media are used on this website (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, XING, LinkedIn, Tumblr). You can usually recognize the plugins by the respective social media logos. To ensure data protection on this website, we only use these plugins together with the so-called "Shariff" solution. This application prevents the plugins integrated on this website from transferring data to the respective provider the first time you visit the site. A direct connection to the provider's server is only established when you activate the respective plugin by clicking on the corresponding button (consent). As soon as you activate the plugin, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are logged into your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign the visit to this website to your user account. Activating the plugin constitutes consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.
Ninja Firewall
The firewall plugin "Ninja Firewall" from NinTechNet, 38, Soi Ladprao 94, Wang Thonglang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand stores the IP address required for the function of the firewall in anonymized form by removing the last 3 characters. These are stored on my server for 7 days and then deleted. "Ninja Firewall" protects our website from unauthorized access through unwanted network access. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. No data is transferred to the developer of the plugin.

Liking posts and comments
I use the "WP ULike" plugin. The plugin saves likes for corresponding posts or comments in the WordPress database. The IP address of the user is anonymized and is GDPR compliant.
Gravatar
Since comments look better when an avatar (symbolic image) of the user is included, I didn't want to switch this function off completely, but I use Avatar Privacy. This means that the email address is only compared with the Gravatar directory if you have checked the box. If you have an avatar, it will be cached on my site to prevent Gravatar from tracking your visits to the site.
Contact form
I provide a contact form so that you can easily get in touch with me. However, I can only reply if your real e-mail address has been entered. When using the contact form, the data entered there will be forwarded to me as an email. It will not be processed in any other way or passed on to third parties.
Newsletter
In order to add you to my newsletter mailing list, I require confirmation that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. The data collected will only be used to send the newsletter and to document your consent. It will not be processed in any other way or passed on to third parties.
Embedded content from other websites
Posts on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services and record your interaction with this embedded content.
Website analysis:
The Matomo tool is used for the needs-based design of my website. This is a so-called web analysis service. In order to record and analyze the use of our website, usage information is stored for analysis purposes. During this process, your IP address is only processed further in abbreviated form and thus anonymized. If you wish to prevent processing for analysis purposes, you can object to this at any time by clicking the mouse. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie without usage data is stored in your browser, which means that Matomo does not collect any session data. Please note: If you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and may have to be reactivated by you.
You have the option of preventing the actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.
Amazon affiliate program
Since I would like to recoup the costs for this offer (hosting, domain, etc.), I am a participant in the Amazon EU affiliate program and receive a commission on qualified purchases. Amazon uses cookies to track the origin of orders. Among other things, Amazon can recognize that you have clicked on the partner link on this website and then purchased a product from Amazon. Further information on the use of data by Amazon and how to object can be found in the company's privacy policy: https://www.amazon.de/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201909010.
CF Affiliate
participate in the affiliate program of the following provider: CJ Affiliate (Conversant Europe Limited), 1st Floor, 40 Dukes Place, London, EC3A 7NH
In this context, I have placed links on our website that lead to offers on websites of the provider or third parties ("partner sites").
To measure the success of an affiliate link, the evaluation of orders generated via such a link and the corresponding settlement of commission payments, the provider uses cookies and/or comparable technologies, which are generally set on the partner pages and for which I am not responsible in this respect under data protection law. In doing so, the provider also regularly processes the IP address and, if applicable, other end device information. All processing described, in particular the reading or storage of information on the terminal device you use, will only take place if you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by using the cookie consent management options on the partner sites. In the case of data transfer to the provider location, an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
5. with whom is the data shared?
With the exception of the scenarios described above, the data is not shared (at least deliberately) with anyone or anything.
6 How long will the data be stored?
Comments, including metadata, are stored indefinitely, which is the only way to keep track of the discussion. On request, every comment can of course be deleted, and subscriptions to the newsletter are also stored indefinitely until you unsubscribe.
7. your rights
You can request information about your personal data processed by me in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that I have stored about you. This does not include data that I am required to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons. If you are of the opinion that I have not complied with data protection regulations when processing your data, you can contact me with a complaint.
