The big advantage: it is a long-term study, i.e. the authors can compare their data over time and thus present developments and trends very well. For this reason, the study is also one of my main sources for the lectures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The word \"Generation Z\" only appears two or three times in the study, but it is precisely the lifeworld of this generation that you can immerse yourself in with this study. What I particularly like about it is that the study is very broadly based and covers many areas of life. It is not just primarily about the world of work, but also about the fears and worries of young people, their sources of information, their fundamental attitudes towards society and globalization. Accordingly, the study makes it possible to understand why interest in political or social engagement has increased. It also provides clues as to why a section of the young generation is so receptive to populism. This study also clearly shows how important the relationship with parents and good friends is to this generation. Of course, there are also insights into the expectations of this generation in the world of work, so that an excellent picture can be put together from the many mosaic pieces of the study. Small disadvantage: a lot to read, but worth it ;-).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.de\/ueber-uns\/shell-jugendstudie.html\" target=\"_blank\"> Homepage of the study<\/a>. There is also a freely available <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.de\/ueber-uns\/shell-jugendstudie\/_jcr_content\/par\/toptasks.stream\/1570708341213\/4a002dff58a7a9540cb9e83ee0a37a0ed8a0fd55\/shell-youth-study-summary-2019-de.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Brief summary<\/a> for download. This is definitely a very good introduction to the topic. This introduction is supplemented by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.de\/ueber-uns\/shell-jugendstudie\/alle-schaubilder-und-grafiken.html\" target=\"_blank\">Graphics and charts<\/a>r that are made available. Even if it is a lot to read, you can delve deep into the lives of the younger generation and learn to understand them. The add-ons on the homepage are excellent. Hence the highest rating from me ;-).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I currently recommend two more books on Generation Z, both of which have the same (main) title.
