Weekends off (84.9%) and no shift work (60.2%) are important to the younger generation.<sup data-fn=\"6c30d7fd-0447-4b82-ba6e-e674ac78250e\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#6c30d7fd-0447-4b82-ba6e-e674ac78250e\" id=\"6c30d7fd-0447-4b82-ba6e-e674ac78250e-link\">1<\/a><\/sup> Police work is undoubtedly a 24\/7 service:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"We stand up for people's safety and provide help around the clock\"<sup data-fn=\"6198a70f-9216-47e1-99a8-49810d4e62ae\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"6198a70f-9216-47e1-99a8-49810d4e62ae-link\" href=\"#6198a70f-9216-47e1-99a8-49810d4e62ae\">2<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But how can this be reconciled? Together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ximes.com\/team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Anna Arlinghaus<\/a> a contribution at the conference of the Working Time Society on October 11, 2024 in Berlin at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baua.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health<\/a> presented.
